We are now entering the final phase of the FIRST part of our campaign against this madness. On Thursday the 13th of July the full Council will vote on whether a change in structure represents the BEST VALUE option in determining our children’s education for the next 10 years. Some of this is apparently based on instinct! Some allegedly on data (BUT ONLY THE DATA THAT SUPPORTS THEIR ARGUMENT) And the rest… well its based on the arrogance of individuals who sneer at “so called caring parents” I would like to point out the following Suffolk is not looking to change. Northumberland have to do their consultation again because the original consultation was flawed. I know, because I have seen many of the letters, that the parents of Bedfordshire do not want change. That the parents of Bedfordshire CARE ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN. I know, because I have spent the time to look at the data that the case for change is not proven. I understand, as do most parents that whatever happens there will be closure or amalgamation of schools, but I also know that Bedfordshire is about to enter a massive house building project. Being a cynic it does mean that the Council will be able to hide behind the chaos for the next 10 years. You have had facts and figures; you will get more I would leave you with this thought. Tomorrow morning, look at the Children going to school and ask yourself, How much damage will I do to them? If I were a caring parent what would I do for my child in the system now? |
