Bedfordshire School Structure

I must confess at the start of the week, well Sunday really when I became convinced that the County Councillors, 4S, and the Officers in the Education Department at County Hall had not listened and were working to an agenda on School places I was depressed, and angry. THAT WAS BEFORE THE REPORT.

Having read the report and the so-called "over whelming evidence" I am now even more determined to prevent this catastrophe form impact on the children I know. NOT JUST MINE but especially mine.

This report condemns a generation of children to a maximum 4% uplift on a piece of evidence that allegedly has been about since the 1990's but not made public. Funny that.

The county council is about to spend £ 485million to get our standards. In Maths English and Science up by 4 %, but not for 10 years. Great value for money guys!

Our Middle Schools are up for sale. They have allegedly been registered at the Land registry. DID YOU KNOW THAT COUNTY COUNCILLORS, I doubt it?

Our Lower Schools are up for sale and our 6th forms despite assurances that they will remain are doomed. See appendix 6 of the report.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT STANDARS BUT ABOUT EGO.

If you have any doubts just think logically. Can your School expand? Will PFI money be available for Schools of under 300?

Actually there is no guarantee that Bedfordshire plan will get the government money.Northumberalnd didn't and their standards were better than ours, AND IT IS AVAILABLE TO US NOW WE DO NOT HAVE TO CHANGE, this was another County Council piece of misinformation.

I'm sorry if this is emotive but I CARE ABOUT MY CHILDREN. I WANT MY CHILDREN TO ASPIRE AND BE SUCCESFUL. MY CHILDREN ARE EDUCTAED IN THIS SYSTEM. The same cannot be said of some County Councillors.

WE MUST FIGHT THIS. IT IS NO GOOD THINKING SOMEONE ELSE WILL DO IT FOR YOU.

Tell your Councillor how you feel. In Windsor and in the Isle of Wight each Councillor who voted for change lost their seat. IT IS YOUR DEMOCRATIC RIGHT, but if you wait it will be too late

BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID. This wasn't in any manifesto for the County Council election. You did not vote them in for this.

I need to stop now before I start repeating myself, but I will update with News and events and emails and responses. We need 28 councillors.28 but lets try and get 40.
