Bedfordshire Review of School System Structure

Bedfordshire County Council want to Review our Three Phase School Structure. They want to recommend changing to a Two Tier System, (Primary and Secondary Schools)

•         This Review began last year, yet has only come to light
recently, why have we not been consulted from the start?

•         How can the Council not think it necessary to consult
parents about their children's education?

•         How can the Council justify the millions of pounds it will
cost to change the structure?

•         Why can't the funds available not be spent on improving
the standards under the existing system?

Inevitably if their decision is to change the current system then there will be school closures which will affect us all

The only meeting for this area where you can listen to all the

arguments and issues is:

Thursday 23^rd March Between 7.00pm and 9.00pm at Queensbury Upper School

We only have this one chance to make our view heard! We need as many people to attend as possible

If we don't attend we will find that County Councillors make

their decision without consulting us as parents They will eradicate our Middle Schools which have so much to

offer our children

Changing the current system will severely affect our children and will damage their education for years while the enormous logistical problems are overcome AND there is no evidence to suggest that the change will raise Standards.
